MEGA has followed the EMship+ program with great interest and appreciate its strong academic and international reputation in the field of advanced naval architecture and offshore engineering. We are particularly encouraged to see that some of the current industrial partners are also part of our extended business network.
We are delighted to explore the opportunity of joining the EMship industrial network, as we believe this partnership could offer tangible benefits for both sides: enriching student learning with applied industry exposure, while giving our company early access to top international talent in the field.
Special thanks to prof. Florin Pacuraru and Faculty of Naval Architecture for their support, also to EMship Coordination Team and prof. Evert Lataire!

We were delighted to welcome students and professors from Faculty of Naval Architecture and Students’ Club to our first Open Doors Day at MEGA, a warm and friendly event dedicated to curiosity, learning and connection!
Giving them a direct insight into our engineering environment, real projects and career opportunities, we are committed to support education, to understand students’ aspirations and to help future naval engineers discover the world of ship design from inside our teams.
At MEGA we believe that building the future starts with investing in people — early, genuinely and consistently.
This is why our commitment to students goes far beyond internships. We support them with guidance, learning opportunities and also the tools they need to grow.
And since the holiday season is about giving, MEGA has donated 6 modern workstations to the Students’ Club of the Faculty of Naval Architecture , helping them continue their work and put knowledge into practice.
At the same time, we were honored to receive from them a trophy and a diploma, as a Strategic Partner.
Thank you to all the students and teachers who joined us and thank you to MEGA colleagues who made this event possible!
Looking forward to seeing many of you again — in workshops, internships, or perhaps even as our future colleagues.

Galați Naval Architecture – a long-standing conference tradition within the Faculty of Naval Architecture – took place on Friday, November 21, in the Conference Hall of the Towing Tank Facility.
The event brought together distinguished members of the naval industry, including representatives of shipyards, design companies, professional associations, clusters, as well as national and regional authorities. Their presence once again highlights the role of our faculty as a strong and influential hub for the Romanian shipbuilding sector.
The conference featured presentations of the latest research in the naval field carried out by our academic staff, students, master’s students, and PhD candidates. All scientific papers presented during the event will be published in the journal Annals of “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați – Fascicle XI: Shipbuilding, 2025 edition.
It was a day of ideas, curiosity and connection, and we’re grateful to be part of it!
Thank you, Faculty of Naval Architecture and Sandita Pacuraru for the invitation!

We can only imagine how challenging it is to rethink education: to connect theory with practice, to design educational programs that truly prepare students for what’s next in their professional life. But when universities start shaping courses around real business needs, then yes, it’s not just about employability, it’s about relevance, agility and vision!
It means they are building the bridge between knowledge and impact, between what is taught and what the business truly needs.
At DANUBIUS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, one of the conclusions was that education should not only inform, but also transform!
And from the business perspective, we see this evolution as a shared mission: in business we need people ready to think, to act, to grow and that starts in classrooms that mirror reality, not just describe it!
So when a university chooses to be visionary, to innovate, to build a sustainable learning ecosystem, not only for young graduates, but also for adults who think of learning as a way of life, than we’re more than glad to support this effort!
Because in the end, we’re all part of the same story — the one where continuous learning is a way of life!
Thank you, Alina Beatrice Raileanu and Ciprian Manea for the invitation and for such a great initiative!

In July 2025, we welcomed an amazing group of students, from Universitatea „Dunărea de Jos” din Galați, Facultatea de Arhitectură Navală, into our company — and what a journey it has been!
💡 They learned by doing, putting knowledge into practice
📘 Received guidance in completing their internship notebooks
🗣️ Took part in a vibrant communication workshop, filled with games, team activities and short videos
🤝 Integrated naturally with our team and experienced our organizational culture firsthand
🎉 Made new friendships and memories to last
🎁 And on the last day, we celebrated them with certificates, company gifts and a movie about them and their experience at MEGA, to keep the good moments alive!
Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the program: mentors, team members, organizers and of course, the students, for their energy, curiosity and constant engagement!
It was truly our most exciting internship program ever!
At the heart of this collaboration is our belief of combining real-world project experience with academic research. By maintaining both professional and academic relationships with students, we help shape a curriculum that reflects today’s business challenges, while offering students a glimpse into life beyond the classroom.
We are pleased to celebrate this two-ways academic journey, with one colleague who just completed his doctoral degree, while another two colleagues have recently begun their PhD journeys with UGAL.
It’s a win-win for innovation and continuous learning with long-term impact! Congratulations for this incredible commitment! Balancing a full-time job with four years of research, academic deadlines and intellectual rigor takes serious dedication, discipline and passion!
We, at Marine Engineering Galati, support this kind or initiatives, value growth, ambition and make room for learning beyond the job description!
