Every work anniversary marks a journey: of someone’s first days in the office, filled with curiosity, enthusiasm, maybe shyness, later on filled with projects, lessons learned, deadlines and… countless everyday moments that often go unnoticed, yet shape who we become as professionals and as a team.
Today we’re not simply recognizing the passing of time, we’re celebrating the people who have grown with us, shared their knowledge, supported one another and helped build the MEGA culture!
Most probably a strong company isn’t built only on processes, standards or systems. It’s built on trust, on relationships, on people who choose, year after year, to write the next chapter together.
Perhaps that’s why these celebrations mean so much to us! They remind us that quality is not only reflected in the projects we deliver, it is also reflected in the way we work together, learn from one another and create an environment where people feel they truly belong.

Măcin Mountain Fun 2026 took place, a unique trail running and mountain biking competition.
From MEGA, 16 colleagues took part in the individual running and cycling races, and even more gather for the team-building & barbeque afterwards!

At Damen, we can learn something new every day!
For the last couple of days we had, at Marine Engineering, the L&D Outfitting training program. The session brought together 50 colleagues, from Arrangement & Outfitting teams, for sharing knowledge, best practices and real engineering challenges.
Supported by our group partners, from Damen Naval, the discussions tackled sensitive topics, honest questions and encouraged collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
It was not only about ship design engineering, about the software, rules & regulation in the naval industry, but about the people, the collaboration and thinking out of the box, and most of all about the awareness of each single task or job in the whole process of designing and building a ship!
It was about the systemic learning of the future, where culture, communication and feedback loops matter as much as technical skills!

MEGA is a modern engineering company, part of DAMEN Naval division from DAMEN Group, set up in 2004 and specialized in engineering for shipbuilding, mainly providing detailed engineering packages for hull, piping, arrangements and outfitting, FEM, ILS and Data Engineering Support activities and performing also inclining tests.
Having almost 200 employees, from whom more than 90% are direct hull & steel outfitting or mechanical/ piping/ electrical/ HVAC engineers, working in 2 modern office buildings, in Galati, within Damen Shipyards Galati premises.
With very young engineers, hired just after graduation, MEGA team is a well-balanced mix of ambitious, enthusiastic, eager to learn and experienced engineers, with significant experience in design engineering and also in production.
And, as it fits well to any professional, in addition to technical expertise, at MEGA we encourage the personal development of our employees: through internal or external trainings, together with our partners from more than 10 years, EVOLUTIV Consultants Network, team-buildings or other events, we get to know each other better and strengthen interpersonal relationships between us.
