On 30th of June, 2014, Van Oord Cable-Laying vessel, DOC 7500 “NEXUS”, for offshore wind farm construction was successfully launched at Damen Shipyard Galati.
This 123 m multipurpose vessel was engineered by MEGA in a record time, all engineering packages were delivered on time, according to the planning, at a high quality level.
Due to this occasion, the owner, Mr. Van Oord, accompanied by Mr. Kommer Damen and the Ambasador of The Netherlands, Mr. Matthijs van Bonzel, visited our offices. During their visit, they took a short tour of the company and participated to brief discussions related to the way that the project was developed at MEGA.
